Street Sweeping The Town of Harwich has a policy of sweeping its roads in a fair and equitable manner. The Town has been divided into thirteen sections on a map. One full week will be dedicated to each section, after which the sweeper will move on to the next section. After completion of the initial one-week rotation, the second round of sweeping will begin. Roads that are not swept during the first round will be done at this time. Once a road is swept, it will not be done again unless a hazardous condition exists. After the entire Town has been swept, we will return to areas requiring attention. Each year, the sweeping rotation will change to allow sections that were done last in the previous year to be done first in the current year. The sweeping schedule is subject to adjustment as weather and unforeseen circumstances dictate. To find out where your district is on the schedule, you may call (508) 430-7555.
